The Pukekohe Community Patrol, originally known as the Pukekohe Possums, was established in March 2009. Our dedicated team of volunteers works in close collaboration with the New Zealand Police, helping to enhance community safety and reduce crime.
As an affiliate of Community Patrols of New Zealand (CPNZ), we operate under the national organization that oversees over 150 patrols across the country. CPNZ holds a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Police, making it the only community group in New Zealand with this level of partnership. This ensures our patrols are aligned with police objectives and receive support, training, and guidance to carry out their duties effectively.
Our patrollers monitor the streets, car parks, and public spaces, looking out for suspicious behavior, reporting crime, and helping to create a safer environment for everyone in Pukekohe. Whether it’s during the day or in the late hours of the night, Pukekohe Community Patrol is committed to keeping our town secure.
